In my post HERE, a few weeks ago, I sortof promised pictures from the County Fair, but I never got them posted. So, I am going to take a few minutes and upload a few of the many pictures I took Fair week!
At/in the livestock exhibit building:
(I love this picture!)
In the handwork exhibit building:
Some of my entered items:
This one was quite a challenge! I saw a 'wren house' at Wal*Mart, and since I love wrens, birdhouses, woodworking, and crafting in general, I asked Dad if he could coach me through making my own! It didn't turn out quite like I imagined, but better than I thought :) ! Sorry the picture's blurry:
These few images are by no means an exhaustive example of all the events and displays that go on at the Fair! There is also a Mule Pull (whose team of mules can pull the most weight), a Horse Show, a Pet Show, a Prettiest Rooster Contest, and lots more at the barn, besides all the crafts, crops, plants, Blueberry Desert Contest, Made In This County clothing contest, and more in the exhibit building!
But I wanted to give you a peak into the fun an flurry that is Fair Week around here! :)

A Prayer Request - A Project
In one of my classes this semester, each student has to make a short (2-4 minutes) movie about something important to them. I am enjoying this class alot - we've already covered photography, and anyone who knows much of anything about me, knows I am absolutely in love with the idea of freezing moments of time to come back to later. And, by the way, the movie is going to be using still images, not film.
Anyway, I'm getting off topic. What I really am posting this for is so that you will hopefully help me pray about this.
At the end of the assignment, the whole class will watch each other's movies during one class session. This has, of course, influenced my decision as to what I make mine about. At first, I wanted to do something for Victory Road, or maybe the Academy, but those things might not (probably wouldn't, in other words) mean much, if anything, to my classmates. So, I got to thinking, and decided to do something sort of evangelistic, in the hopes of using it as a witness to the other students (and even the teacher - who by the way, used to be a member of our church! *Sad Sigh* You sure couldn't tell it...).
Soooo, things are kindof falling into place for it - the Lord has just worked so many things out so far, even when little 'monkey wrenches' keep getting thrown in. Please help me pray that the new 'wrenches' will get worked out, that this little production will have a great impact on my classmates, and most importantly, that the LORD will be glorified through it!
I'll try to keep things updated for anyone who will be praying about this with me.
Maybe I'll even post the movie when it's done...

One Year Of Blogging
Well, today is my 1 year anniversary since I entered the blogging world. Yep, sure enough boys and girls. October 26, 2009 jest seems like yesterd'y. ;D
Originally I had though I'd like to have a give-away for my anniversary, but number 1, I don't think I have enough followers (which is honestly perfectly okay with me - at first I started this blog to record things for myself to remember, not for others to read), and secondly I know I don't have enough time! ACK! I hate having to say that! One of these days, I'm going to have all the time I want, to do all the things I want! And as Lindy says, "I'm going to read like there's no tomorrow"! Hmmm... well, all that is probably not totally acurate, but maybe you get my idea.
Anyway, I couldn't just let the day go by without saying something about it :) .

Out Of The Mouths Of Children...
Trissy found this the other day, and I had to share it!
So many times, the greatest examples for us to look to are not 'men', but little children.

Blog Button - Learned
I am so excited! Yesterday I finally got around to learning how, and creating a button for HAND WORKed, my craft blog. I haven't had any sales yet, and am trying to find ways to advertise, on a college student's budget :} ! Anyway, I'm happy about that ;) . If you're interested, visit HAND WORKed by clicking the button on my sidebar. Take a look around, then come back and let me know what you think! Any comments, suggestions, or advice would be very welcome. Also, I would appreciate it so much if you took my button for your own blog sidebar! Grab it below, or from the HAND WORKed page.
Ok, I'm going to run for now. Keep Looking Up!
Soli Deo Gloria!

Apron Swap
Emily at Practically Pink is hosting an apron swap kind of to celebrate the coming of fall! Everyone that enters gets a partner, and each make an apron for the other one! Sounds like fun - you going to enter? Maybe we'll end up each others' partner :) ! You've got to hurry though, because the deadline to enter is tomorrow!
If you enter, please include as many interesting things about your personality as possible - it will make it easier for us all to create an apron that really "reflects" who we're making it for.
Sorry I don't have any inspiring apron pictures included here, but I haven't got time to upload any - I wanted to let any one who reads this know though... Maybe get your creative juices flowing, or give you a good excuse to sew up some of that dollar-a-yard fabric you just had to get 'cause it was so appealing and on sale...
Happy Sewing!
