About Me

When I was twelve years old, I gave my heart and soul to the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior. Since then, it has been my goal to lead the life of a Christian - to be like Christ. I pray that I may be an encouragement to other believers, and a Godly witness to those who do not know the Lord as Savior.
This is the most important part of my life. It's what defines the way I think, what I say, how I analyze situations and ideas, my reactions (or how I should react) to each situation, my goals, my dreams, and everything about me. As C. S. Lewis might say, this is the Big Heading. Everything else - the subpoints for the outline of the story of my life - falls below this one thing: that Christ is my Savior. My God. My Life.

I have lots of hobbies and interests.
I love to work with my hands.

Crochet, paper crafts, knitting, writing, sewing, wood-working, quilting, refurbishing, and other odds-and-ends type projects, basically anything creative, redeeming, reusing, recycling, upcycling... reading, blogging, photography, almost anything old-fashioned, stamp-collecting, working outdoors, horses, creating... creating... creating...

I am fascinated by people's eyes and at any given moment I could tell you the detailed eye color of just about any person I know (don't laugh, eyes are the windows to a person's soul).

I like hour-glasses, wrens, horses, dragonflies, rustic living, white + gold, hand lettering, the artwork of N.C. Wyeth and the medieval paintings of Edmund Blair Leighton, copper, Spider-Man, and sailing ships, among other things.

I treasure my friends, dance in thunderstorms, have a weakness for miniatures, live for autumn, and talk with my hands - fast. I really like Kit-Kats candy bars. And Cookies 'n' Cream anything. I like to dress simply.

I have a short attention span, but thankfully lots of self-control! I am SO random. "Squirrel!", that's me.

My friends have nicknames for me like "Spazz" and "Dumaflitchy". I am a thinker, a dreamer, and extreme in personality. Southern to the bone, Celtic in blood, and longing for Heaven - Home.

Love people, cry for the hurting, glory in the greatness-es and triumphs of the ones I love. Believe in the power of Prayer, rejoice in redemption, treasure the "Small Things".
